Water polo player commits to Princeton University

After four years of Varsity Water Polo, Tatum Turetzky is headed to Princeton University where she intends to study science and play water polo.

Turetzky has received numerous accomplishments by being in the water, such as two time member of the first team All League, and a two time member of the first team All East Bay. She also received the Most Valuable Player this year. Turetzky has played water polo for a long time and is thankful for her career at Northgate.imgres

“It gave me the opportunity to meet so many amazing people and form strong bonds in and out of the pool. I also advanced my game a lot throughout my four year with the help of the coaching staff,” said Turetzky.

Turetzky’s ability caught the eye of many Division One coaches, and this past month she committed to Princeton University, an Ivy League school ranked in the top ten for women’s water polo.

“I chose Princeton because of the great balance between academics and athletics. The emphasis they place on accountability and responsibility  both in the pool and in the classroom is something that I couldn’t pass up.”
