Choir teacher Georgia Friend, seated at the piano, played the bongo drums last month with the Bella Voce and Madrigals singing groups during the first performance of the three choirs. Northgate welcomes Ms. Friend, and four other new teachers.

Northgate's boys football team heads into the last regular season game at 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the Diablo Valley Athletic League. A highlight was the "Battle of the Creek" 35-21 win over Las Lomas. With the victory the team, pictured above after the game, earned a higher ranking, the engraved winner's plaque for the next year, and cross town rival bragging rights.
