Sophomores from left to right Savannah Russell, Erin Faigle, Lauren Grove, Stella Hanko, Nicole Galicia, Nicole Popov Spektor, Bella Johanson, and Erin O’Sullivan are eight of more than 300 sophomores who spent Tuesday May 21 set up in front of the school telling visitors to their presentation how we can all work together to change the world.
All sophomores as part of their World and European History classes completed a semester-long project that included research, community service, and a group presentation to raise awareness for dozens of local, national and world issues.
The students pictures here shared ways in which individuals and the community can work to combat breast cancer. This education experience, led by history teachers Brian Corbett, Mitchell Woerner and Paula Dillon, is an annual event and a culmination of many hours of work and service highlighted in this four-hour educational event.
Other endeavors included students who investigates how to reduce wildfires, the need for equitable parks and recreation experiences for all communities, combatting food insecurity, teacher support and dozens of other community and societal issues.
