About Us

The Sentinel is the student run paper of Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, California. Dating back to 1974, The Sentinel strives to bring to life a combination of news, entertainment, and opinion. The Sentinel operates under student leadership. It follows the California Education Code Section 48907 and professional journalism policies, with the guidance of a staff advisor. Sentinel editorials represent the views of the majority of the staff members, as determined through discussion and consensus. Opinions represent the views of the individual writers.
