Mia Allyson Montifar, class of 2024, is a Staff Writer, and has been a member of the Sentinel since her freshman year. She has always loved reading and writing, and finds unique ways to express herself. Mia spends her time listening to music, writing poems, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Kelly Perkins, a teacher at Ygnacio Valley High School and parent of Northgate graduates, addresses the senior class Oct. 12 about the dangers of fentanyl, sharing the tragic death of her son, Carson. Perkins has formed a nonprofit Carson's Wings of Hope, and is speaking with students to promote awareness and save lives.
